Financial Freedom

Is financial freedom what you want but, instead, you’re experiencing a lack of the financial freedom you want? Then chances are that some old beliefs and attitudes about you and your relationship with money are getting in the way. Old ways of thinking are sometimes hard to release, mainly because they’ve become an unconscious habit.

The good news is, that can be changed. And you can do it.

Pursuing your passion is fulfilling and leads to financial freedom.” Robert G. Allen

Here are 10 steps to financial freedom.

1. Discover hidden beliefs.

Chances are your beliefs about money were passed on to you when you were young. Do you believe that there isn’t enough money to go around, money is dirty, only greedy and dishonest people have money, you have to work very, very hard to have money, or it’s selfish to have money? Where did your beliefs come from? Are they really, really true?

Start changing your life today!

Find the financial freedom you’ve been searching for. Discover how to change the hidden beliefs that have been getting in the way of your financial freedom. You don’t have to be stuck with them any longer. There are several self-help resources available to you on the Resources page.

Do these beliefs sound familiar?

  • I’m not smart enough to have money.
  • I don’t have the right credentials.
  • My family has never had money.
  • My family and friends might resent me.
  • Money is hard to come by.
  • You have to work too hard to have money.
  • I’ve never had money and I probably never will.
  • Only dishonest people have money.

Money is just paper with dye on it. It has only the meaning we give it. Start by looking at what you believe about having prosperity. If your thoughts are negative, reframe them into positive ones. Perhaps you need some help with that.

It may feel like you’re stuck with the way things are, but there is no power in the universe holding money from you. There is something you can do to change the course of events. Start by checking out  the programs on the Resources page.

Affirmations aren’t magic, but they can get you in the habit of thinking differently.

Put your affirmations where you can see them and repeat them often. Do more than say the words. Imagine already having the abundance you want and how it feels to have it. What would you be seeing, hearing, feeling if you already had financial freedom? Use your imagination to make what you see, hear and feel as real as you can.

Make sure the affirmations say exactly what you want them to say.

Make them realistic. Affirming you’re going to win the lottery may not bring the desired result.

  • “Money comes easily and abundantly to me.“
  • “I am prosperous and help many people.”
  • “My financial freedom opens up new possibilities for me.”
  • “I attract money easily and always have more than I need.”
  • “I have an abundance of money to do with as I please.”
  • “I am successful and financially free.”

2. Think rich.

There’s an advantage to prosperity thinking. Thinking rich opens the imagination to possibilities of financial freedom. Being prosperous means more than just having money. Prosperity includes love, close family and friends, well-being, money in the bank, the financial freedom to do what you like to do. In what ways are you already prosperous?

3. Give thanks for what you have.

Gratitude is powerful. The universe responds with more of what you’re grateful for. Make a list of everything and everyone you’re grateful for. As you begin to think about what you’re grateful for, prosperity will appear in surprising and unexpected ways—a promotion, someone special showing up, answers you’ve been looking for, a new opportunity. Be open to it without the old beliefs in the way, so you’ll recognize it when it shows up.

  • “I am grateful for so much love in my life.”
  • “I give thanks for the beauty that surrounds me.”
  • “I am grateful for the expected and unexpected good that continuously shows up in my life.”

4. Repeat prosperity affirmations.

Repeat these or similar affirmations several times a day for 30 days, and see what happens.

  • “I am abundantly paid for the value I give to my work.”
  • “Prosperity flows into my life.
  • “Money continuously shows up in my life.”

5. Visualize financial freedom.

What you think about money, particularly when strong feelings are attached, gives your thought more power. That’s true whether the feelings are positive or negative. It’s important to focus on the good that money brings. Visualize the sense of freedom and well-being you experience when you think about having all that you need and more to live a prosperous life.

6. Share what you have.

The Universe responds with even more of what you give away. Helping others, sharing your money and love is like a prosperity magnet. Giving and receiving go hand in hand.

There is no limit to what the Universe can give. The Universe is infinite and so are Its gifts. Give with an open heart and watch what happens. The Universe (with a capital U) is your Source. Abundance comes from one Source even when it appears to come through your work or another person.

7. Focus on prosperity, not lack.

Thoughts of abundance produce more abundance and focusing on lack produces an experience of lack. Abundance has substance. Lack is an idea that has no substance. Give thanks for the money you have and expect that more will show up.

8. Accept that you deserve prosperity.

The Universe is your Source, not your job, not your boss, not your bank account. Those are just the channels. Youi deserve to have an abundance of good in your life, including financial freedom.

Imagine yourself as being prosperous, of having all the money you want to live life as you choose. Visualize a very detailed picture. What are you saying to yourself in that picture? What are you feeling? Did you know that your subconscious doesn’t know the difference between what’s real and what’s imagination? Imagine what it is you want, not what you don’t want.

9. Risk stepping out.

Thinking of going on your own? Sure, doing what you love may have some risks. Successful people take risks, but not without planning. Make a list of everything you love doing, and what you can make money doing. Research ways that you can use your skills to make money. Consult with others, ask questions. Seek out resources locally and online—you’ll begin to see others reach out to help you. Just the activity and focus will bring unexpected results.

10. Step out of your comfort zone.

Change can be stressful. It’s easier to keep doing and thinking the same things because we know the outcome and we’ve survived. If you want different outcomes, you have to change your thinking and the things you do. “Keep thinking what you’ve thought and you’ll keep getting what you’ve got.”

A few more thoughts…

It takes practice to make a habit of thinking positively, particularly if you’ve been in fear of lack. Remember, lack has no substance, it’s an experience. As your thoughts change so will your outer experience of abundance.
